Learning Together #cleanerdurham2022
Sunday, April 3, 2022 by Sam McCormick | Learning Together
In this yesterday's #learningtogether we played multiplication bingo, got 3 sets of homework done, designed Easter eggs AND did a litter pick in the grassed areas surrounding Spennymoor Youth and Community Centre as part of Durham County Council's #BigSpringClean and #cleanerdurham2022
You might be wondering why the litter pick? Well, as a community group funded through the Youth Centre, developing a sense of community in our group is really important. There's a huge culture of helping each other; because collaboration beats competition hands down where children's learning is concerned. And what better way to say 'thank you' than by helping delitter the local areas.
We've also made our own posters and will start to record our own case studies and promotional media very soon too!
If you know anyone who you think would benefit from our informal but highly effective tutoring group, tell them about us and drop me a message!

𝕃𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕋𝕠𝕘𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕚𝕤 𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝕠𝕟 𝕊𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕕𝕒𝕪
I've missed our group over holidays, and I'm excited to be back to get back and started again!
Suitable for children from reception, up to Y7 is fully funded and EVERYONE is welcome!
Children can bring their homework to complete with support of a fully qualified teacher (me!) or join in with the group learning activities.
We have ipads to help children complete things like timetable rockstars and online homework too.
𝕀𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕕 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕤𝕥 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖, 𝕨𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕠𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕣 𝕒 𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪 𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕞 𝕨𝕖𝕝𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖!
Please bring a water bottle, any homework and log in details your child may need and drop me a message so I know to expect you!
The session runs from 3pm with a flexible pick up until 5pm (we suggest younger children may want picking up before the full two hours).
